Pre-seed and Seed Investment
Take your venture off the ground.
Step 1: Send us your pitch deck – if we think we’re a fit for your business, we’ll set up a call. This first chat (approx. 45 minutes) will include a general intro to your team, your business idea and the product/service you’re proposing.
Step 2: Application Review. The management team based on our investment criteria will review your application. If we can serve your business, you’ll have an onboarding session (approx. 45–60 minutes) to start you off on your journey with us, including detailed GTM (go to market) information, deep dive, and live product demo.
Step 3: Our Due Diligence. We assess the founding team, market dynamics, business model, value proposition, use of proceeds, and target terms/price, our team will verify the statements made in your business plan, presentation, and financial projections. There are multiple discussions in this stage, often conduct calls with customers and vendors.
Step 4: Investment Discovery. Our team will your business to our portfolio of investor members. If our investor express interest, you will be notified and the next steps will be discussed.
Step 5: Presenting to Our Investors. You will be contacted prior to the investment meeting to begin preparing a due diligence folder. At the investment meeting, you will be allotted time to pitch, followed by Q&A.
Step 6: Investment offer. After the completion of step 5, our investors if decide to invest then they will finalize terms and present their offer. The term sheet will define the structure of the proposed investment deal, including the type of equity, investor rights, and board of directors’ representation. When all parties are satisfied with the terms and language contained in the term sheet, the term sheet is executed, and full documentation is processed reflecting the agreed-upon terms. Funds are then transferred.

Step 3: Our Due Diligence. We will assess the current business model, and spend some time with your team.
Step 4: Investment Discovery. Our team will promote your business to our portfolio of investor members. If all goes well, you will be notified and discuss options available. If our investors show no interest, we’ll say why.
Step 5: Presenting to Our Investors. With your due diligence folder, you will present your business to the investor(s), address funding needs, followed by Q&A and discuss options.
Step 6: Investment offer. After the completion of step 5, our investors if decide to invest then they will finalize terms and present their offer. When all parties are satisfied with the terms and language contained in the term sheet, the term sheet is executed, and full documentation is processed reflecting the agreed-upon terms. Funds are then transferred.

Do we have a geographical focus

Our investment criteria for every entrepreneur:

What does a good pitch look like?
For us, the pitch deck is a snapshot of the business. The first things we want to understand are the problem/need you’re tackling, the product/service (solution) you’re proposing and why your business is the right one to provide it. The venture must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and demonstrate clear evidence of market traction through customers or a defined revenue path. The product or service must represent a significant advancement or disruption in its respective market or industry. We also like to know who we might be working with and investing in, so the entrepreneur should give us a brief introduction to the team.
Some pitch decks fail because the deck is incomprehensible/nonsensical!
How quickly do we make our investment decision after we've spoken to an entrepreneur?
The pre-seed process is typically quicker. If we like your pitch, we’ll get in touch to talk over the entrepreneur’s business idea. From that point, we will usually make our decision within two weeks.
For investments beyond the pre-seed stage, if we like the entrepreneur’s idea, the founder should hear back from us within 21 days of submitting the pitch deck, when we’ll set up an initial chat. After that, we typically aim to make our final decision within three weeks.
What financial information do we need to see from a business to consider backing them?
Numbers do matter, and what we’ll ask to see differs depending on the size of your business. But what we’re really about is investing in the person and the idea. Feel free to send us your pitch deck even if you’re not sure of all the numbers yet. That said, having a simple financial model to show can help us get a better feel for what you’d like to achieve.
